NEW MUSIC!!!
But, on a another note, I have beomce fond a new electro band called Kill Paradise. Lately i've been digging into my techno/drum and bass/electro roots. Always being a fan of that style of music, i decided to find some talent yet to hit the big scene....
I found a guy called Casio Disco and i liked him, but he leaves some to be desired......... on his myspace friends list, I found DJ Pickee, now DJ pickee was good, he mostly remixed other songs, but his work was good. In one of his songs which quickly became my fav. was a group called Kill Paradise...... I found them on his myspace friends list, and instanly fell in love.....
This is what the electro club scene has been needing. Hope you all enjoy.

New track from Lupe
Secondly happy April 1st.
Thirdly I was on bboy.org, checking on a battle I'm a part of. And this dude post a new track from Weezy and Shady. Turned out to be a April fool's joke. =( I dislike Weezy, but he and Em on a track is worth a look see.
Then I looked at a list of recently released tracks on the left hand side of my page...... Lupe's name caught my eye. I'm like What?! Wyclef f. Lupe Fiasco - Fast Car (remix).............Word?! This shit is mad hot. Enjoy. Sorry No DL though. =(
Fourthly, I'm not sure how new/old this is, I probably should of found it and told yous guys about it the day I heard it but...... Here is a hot Remix of Super Star that just recently hit radio play..... But I dislike Jeezy and T.I. who happen to be on it with Lupe... Although they do come hard on this one......Lupe's verse is still my favorite. =)

Mercedes Gravity Car Yes Gravity Car haha
The Silbervogel Gravity Car concept, by Jakob Hirzel from the Pforzheim University Of Applied Sciences in Germany, this vehicle has no engine, but still wants to Evolve and become a real racing spectacle. The racer relies solely on, gravity to pick up speed. We're thinking the whole exempt engine thing is going to give the Gravity Car a little handicap in conventional races, but as a thing for show & tell you would win an award this is probably not safe to drive on the highway either haha goodlooks to gizmodo for the photos.

Artist of the Week: Blake Lewis
Okay, now i understand most people love American Idol, and at the same time most People hate AI. But every one remembers Blake Lewis from season six. He was the spikey haired, beat boxing, white boy, who made me look at the TV and say, "Where the hell did he learn that?!" Seriously dude was my Favorite off season six. And the only reason I actually watched it.
Now you probably wondering why he's my pick for artist of the week. Well I was watching a show about where the AI artists are now, on my TV guide channell, and realized he not only made a kicks ass "hip hop/pop" album; (I'm listening to it as I write this) But he also did a track with your favorite rapper's, favorite rapper, Lupe Fiasco. Yeah at first I said "No fucking Way!" but yes way.
His new album is called "Audio Day Dream. Here's just a little info on Blake himself.
Audio Day Dream begins with an intro titled "Silence Is Golden ..." and ends with the outro "... I Choose Noise." Together, it's the mantra Lewis lives by.
"I've always been attracted to noise, even as a kid," he says. "I was obsessed with 'Mork and Mindy' because Robin Williams did so many sound effects when he was talking. I even love an annoying racket, especially if there's something rhythmic about it. You can beat-box to a car alarm."
Blake got both his love for music and rebel instincts from his mother, who ran away from home at 15 to pursue a singing career. He got into hip-hop as a kid through Rob Base and Fresh Prince cassettes and moved into grunge in junior high before discovering electronic music through "The Saint" soundtrack (with Moby and Orbital).
After learning piano and saxophone, he eventually began doing musicals and singing in choirs and a cappella groups, where he honed his skills beat-boxing. When he auditioned for "Idol" on a whim (he had never seen the show) the judges insisted he showcase his human turntable skills. He complied, beat-boxing through Seal's "Crazy." But then Blake made a request. He wanted to also sing Maroon 5's "Sunday Morning," which hadn't been cleared by the publisher, so he boldly said, "Turn off the cameras and let me sing it anyway." And thankfully they did.
Found all this at, His official Website, www.blakelewisofficial.com
Here is a YouTube "video"; =/ Okay, "the picture of his album cover, while the song plays" of his track with Lupe. But go Grab the Album it's worth it, from the "car ride", or the "house cleaning day", to the "cuddle-ling with your baby" moments. haha

The Nike Air Max "Running Man" Package
Nike connected with well respected artists Parra and Misha to assemble two pieces of the “Running Man Pack” - the Air Max 95 and Air Max 90. Parra, a legendary underground artist from Amsterdam, went to work with his signature colors on the Air Max 95 complete removeing Nike logos from the tongue and sole and instead replacing with his own unique artwork as you see there is no nike airmax logo at the top of shoe or the bottom even tho these kicks are still 1000% official, he jus added his artwork which makes these kicks even more rare to cop
Misha Hollenbach went to work on the Air Max 90 transforming the shoes with a more updated midsole, custom laces, and added his own austrian flava to it the color theme was mostly a tribute to his homeland.these kicks 1st droped in europe but then went thru a brief re-release and is now sold in the US they wont drop till 3-22 so image the rareity of these kicks they wont eva drop again courtesy to nicekicks and kix-files for the pics

The Army Spy Bat...SO FUTURISTIC
Army dudes sat down with scientists at University of Michigan and other schools and asked for a simple bionic bat with stereo cameras, miniaturized radar, ultra-sensitive self-guidance, "energy scavenging" recharging capability and a radio to send data back to troops in urban combat zones. so they created this knowing that it would be nearly impossible to kill such a thing flying so hard they decided this was the best way to combat and still war strategy's as well as pick up on gas readings yes this bat does detect the poisonus air gas.The proposal is for the bat to be just six inches in length, weigh only four ounces and use just one watt of power, backed by a lithium-ion battery, which could be charged by not just solar energy.

Hip Hop Roots Awareness: Spoken Word: Ms. Latifah
Now this is different from written poetry in the idea that it is written in the manor it is going to be recited aloud. It is also written so it is easy to understand the meaning, and the concept behind it. While alot of Poetry is abstract in it's ideas and meanings.
Now I could go very deatiled in this post and talk for just about two pages. But I'll get to the main point of the post. Ms. Latifah is a native Atlanta Spoken Word artist. Now she has a Spoken Word album as well as a Hip Hop album, that has a track, possibly two that features Lupe Fiasco.
I had the great honor of meeting Ms. Latifah at a Potery Slam at my old high school where she proformed I think three of her works. I got them on video but my cheap camera's mic didn't pick up any sound but the applause, (which for her and the other speakers were deafening).
So I went to her myspace and as well on youtube, and got some of her work to let you hear her amazing words. She told me she'd check otu the page and I'm hopeing she'll like it and tell Lupe to check it out (hint, hint) =)
Well the first video is off her hip hop album, while the second is from her spoken word album. ENJOY!

I found this at Urban Kinetics, but I did a lilttle bit of my own research....... I think I love this bed hahahaha (no homo).... Just think, now you won't even have to talk that special girl into your bed. Just pull out your phone, and say,"Have you ever slept in one of these??" hahahahahahaha. Okay so maybe not. Peace!

A show that needs no real introduction, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has had a long lasting impact on youth culture. Whether it be Will rocking OG Jordans to flipping his suit jacket inside-out, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was always defining in his style. In an upcoming collaboration, Puma has teamed up with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on a two pack of sneakers. Seen here is the West Philly First Round Pack which features the same iconic graffiti seen in the opening credits. The pack also includes a fluorescent green Agitation watch. Look for these to release May 17th, 2008.
OMG!! Does Supra ever stop?!! NOOOOOOO!
Supra NS Trinity - White
It seems like there's a never ending supply of hotness coming from Supra. Just when you thought that after so many nice releases you would be bound to see a bad one, Supra then hits you with another pair of really hot kicks. Here you have the Supra NS Trinity in a pure white colorway. We're not sure what makes this all white shoe so great. Is it the crackled leather and the croc skin? Or is it the elegant style of these hi-tops? Maybe it's a combination of both. However, I'm not too big on straps. Anyhow, the shoes will retail for $210 and will be available at Supra dealers.
Found at Hype beast. only problem is the lame writer hates straps. While I can't speak for Travis, I myself Love the Strap on that thing, All I'd need is a matching belt and I'd be over! hahah like Busta said him self: " When I step up in the Place, Ay Yo I step Correct! Woo Ha! I got you all in check!" hahahahaha

Fresh New Music!!!!!!
One of the best young singers out right now. Yes even better than Chris Brown (vocal wise). He is like a mixture of John Legend, Prince, and Maxwell all in one. Very talented vocalist and soulful singer. With two previous singles released "It Don't Make Any Difference To Me" and "We All Want The Same Thing". This is his 3rd single from his self titled album Kevin Michael. Get into it!
Estelle feat. Kanye West "American Boy"
This is song is hot. And Kanye delivers yet another BANGER! But the verdict is still out on whether we are feeling this Estelle chick or not. I mean her voice is average nothing spectacular or great like Jill Scott or Marsha from Floetry, and her rapping style is a far cry from that of Lauryn Hill's. Maybe we are asking for too much from her. But this song and video is hot nonetheless. Check it out!
Thanks to http://freshfromthestreetz.blogspot.com/ Check the Site they keep it nice!!!

Hip Hop Roots Awareness: Poppin/Boogaloo
What is "Funk Styles"?
In the 80's when streetdancing blew up, the media often incorrectly used the term "breakdancing" as an umbrella term for most the streetdancing styles that they saw. What many people didn't know was this within these styles, other sub-cultures existed, each with their own identities.
Breakdancing, or b-boying as it is more appropriately known as, is known to have its roots in the east coast and was heavily influenced by break beats and hip hop. The term "funk styles" was coined to give what we do it's own identity and separate it from hip-hop. Popping, locking and boogaloo were styles that were created in the WEST COAST during the FUNK ERA, and while these styles were adopted into the hip-hop movement, its roots should still be recognized as pure funk. Hence the term, FUNK STYLES.
The Birth of Popping and Boogaloo Style
In a town called Fresno, California, there lived a shy boy named Sam. Inspired to create his own style of dance after seeing the original Lockers perform on TV, in 1975 Sam started putting together movements which later became known as boogaloo or boog style.
The name came from the old James Brown song "Do the Boogaloo". One day when Sam was dancing around the house, his uncle said "Boy, do that boogaloo!" A puzzled Sam asked his uncle, "What's boogaloo?". "That means you're gettin down" his uncle replied. From that day on he was known as Boogaloo Sam.
Not many people know what boogaloo style is or how to do it. Boogaloo is a fluid style that uses every part of the body. It involves using angles and incorporating fluid movements to make everything flow together, often using rolls of the hips, knees, head. Making your legs do wierd things, and covering a lot of space on stage using "walkouts" or other transitions to get from one spot to the next spot. Although it is described as fluid, please note that boogaloo is different from the style known as waving.
Popping was another style created by Sam. People get confused about what this style is. They think it is the name for all the styles that came out of the funk movement (1970's California). It is not. Popping is a style in itself, that involves snapping the legs back, and flexing your muscles continuously to the beat to give a jerky/snapping effect. Popping is a unique style. It's not the universal name for all the funk styles. If you pop, then you're a popper. If you wave, then you're a waver. If you Boogaloo, you're a boogalooer, and so on.
Sam would say the word "pop" (under his breath) every time he flexed while he danced, similar to the way someone might make machine noises when they do the robot, Sam would say the word "pop, pop, pop". People would always say to him, "Hey do that popping stuff!"
A lot of people ask what Electric Boogaloo style is. Electric Boogaloo style is combining popping and boogaloo style together. The two styles compliment each other well and is known worldwide as the signature style of the EB's.OTHER STYLES
While Sam was creating popping and boogaloo, others were creating and practicing unique styles of their own. Back in the day many different areas in the west coast were known for their own distinct styles, each with their own rich history behind them. Some of these areas included Oakland, Sacramento and San Fransisco.
Although the EB's primarily pop and boogaloo, we still like to mix it up and encourage all dancers out there to learn and mix other styles as well.
Some of these styles include:
Air posing Animation Boogaloo Bopping Centipede Crazy Legs Cobra Dime Stopping | Filmore Floating/Gliding Hitting Popping Puppet Robot Saccin Scarecrow | Snaking Spiderman Sticking Strobing Strutting Ticking Tutting Waving |
The Electric Boogaloos would like to give respect to the other OGs and innovators of all styles who contributed to make the street dance scene what it is today. Keep the funk alive!
These are two videos By a new Dude on the Block, that reminds me of the Electric Boogaloos. His name is Poppin John, but he actually in these two videos does everything discussed in the text above. But he mostly Pops and Boogaloos and Tuts. You'll Notice Tuttin because it looks like Egyptian stuff, it's also known as the "boxes" Chris Brown makes in his videos.

MJ's Thriller Returns
|
He celebrates the lasting success of his masterpiece with the release today of Thriller 25, an expanded anniversary version of the nine-song original that includes seven bonus tracks. Among them: remakes featuring collaborations with Akon, will.i.am and Fergie, and updated vocals and production by Jackson. Kanye West contributes a remix, Billie Jean 2008. The set closes with For All Time, a song recorded but not finished during the 1982 Thriller sessions.
Also included is a bonus DVD with the Thriller, Beat It and Billie Jean videos and Jackson's Emmy-nominated performance of Billie Jean from the NBC special Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever.
The set comes in three versions: one with original cover art, one with a new "zombie" cover and a deluxe edition with a booklet.
Thriller sold more than 27 million copies in the USA, and Jackson earned a record-setting eight Grammys and 12 nominations in 1984. The album transformed pop music with its groundbreaking videos and an unprecedented seven top 10 singles.
Producer Quincy Jones says he's amazed the songs are still club staples.
"I'm astounded by it," Jones says. "I just went around the world — Cambodia, China, Brazil, Africa — and at (midnight), they're playing Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' or Billie Jean. It blows my mind that a record stands up that long."
Fledgling MTV, which until Thriller hadn't played videos by black artists, took off once Billie Jean and Beat It hit the airwaves. "Michael and MTV rode each other to glory," Jones says.
Then came the 14-minute Thriller video. "That defined the standards for video."
Will.i.am, who produced new versions of Beat It, The Girl Is Mine and P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing), says the album inspired him as a youngster.
"It was the first time you saw things that were happening in the ghettos, and kids in the suburbs were copying it," he says. "It was like Broadway fused with street performance, and his wardrobe was fly. He made it possible to be yourself, and be free, and just do you."
The new album is part of a year-long celebration. Legacy Recordings today launches a 40-episode Thrillercast podcast available through iTunes, Zune, RSS and michaeljackson.com, featuring celebrities talking about hearing the original album. Also, XM Satellite Radio will launch a new channel, XM Thriller, dedicated to Jackson's music, which airs in March.
